Leo was in Rector Ark. working in timber when Dora and her sister went down from where they lived in Ill. Dora met Leo at a house of a friends where they were playing cards etc. The story goes that Dora told her sister that she intended to marry that guy Leo. Well, she did on August 23, 1908 and Leo got a job on the Cotton Belt Railroad in Jonesboro. Later moved to Garland City, Ark. Leo died April 23, 1936 of phnemonia in Garland City, while unloading rock for the railroad. It is believed he breathed too much dust. After Leo's death Dora moved to the farm near Poplar Bluff, Missouri they had bought. She lived in that area until her death on September 14,1968.
